Frequently Asked Questions

  • Aim to arrive 5-7 minutes before appointment start time to find my space, use the restroom, and settle in. Hydrating well the day before you session is a good idea. Before your massage begins, we will chat about your current bodywork goals and discuss injuries and/or chronic issues. After we make a plan for your session I will leave the room, giving you privacy to undress to your level of comfort and get on the table, under the sheet and blanket. Proper draping will be used throughout the session. At the end of our session I will leave the room again so you can get dressed. When you’re fully dressed, open the door and I will come back in to collect payment, discuss issues if applicable, possible self care options, rebooking, etc…

  • Tipping is always optional, but greatly appreciated.

  • 45 minute sessions are great for focused work on one or two areas. Longer sessions allow for a full body session with detail work on problem areas.

  • There is a slightly raised stone path from the parking lot to a large front door and an elevator to the second floor.

  • Same day bookings are available if time permits. Kneady Cat does not accept walk-ins. All appointments will be booked through Vagaro. Each “Book Appointment” button on this site will take you to my Vagaro booking page.

  • Each session includes: massage, hot towels, hot pack, cupping, aromatherapy, water, snack

  • It is recommended to rest, hydrate and eat a filling meal after receiving massage and cupping therapies. Every body is different, some may feel very tired and some may feel energized. Listen to what your body is telling you. It is extra important to rest, hydrate and eat if this is your first time receiving massage and/or cupping therapy, as it is a new experience for your body.

  • Intraoral massage is a specialized technique that involves working inside the mouth with exam gloves to relieve tension in the jaw. TMJ dysfunction and clenching can gain a lot of relief from intraoral work. Only my thumb is placed inside the mouth, along the cheek. Working the masseter muscle from inside and outside has been very effective for many clients so far!

  • Text message to 512-697-9607 is the best way to contact me if you have questions, concerns, or scheduling issues. If you call, please leave a voicemail and I will get back to you when I have time for a call. Email is fine but I do not have notifications on for that so it may be a day before I see it.
